About Master Series classes
Master Series classes are offered in short sessions to give you flexible scheduling options you won’t find anywhere else. You can take the entire series or any part or mix and match to meet your learning needs. Talk to our staff about scheduling options and related pricing.
Master Series units are (click on titles for details):
• Fast Start—How CSS/HTML work together
• Selectors—How CSS targets page elements
• Typography—How to control web typography
• Layout—How to position elements on the page
• Actions—How to create interactive/animated page elements
• Page Builder—Apply new skills to build a web page project
As the world moves from print-based to non-print media the skills designers need are also changing. One fundamental change is that all the new media use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to define typography and layout. CSS is also used to create many interactive and animated features. Most other non-print media are based on CSS too: e-books, online magazines, and enhanced emails.
The basics of CSS are not hard to learn, but CSS is different from the style sheets designers have been using for print media. To develop your design skills beyond print, you must know CSS. The Master Series is a good way to get started.
Our CSS Master Series is essential for anyone who wants to build, maintain or needs to know about modern web page creation.
The Master Series classes cover essential CSS concepts and functions in-depth. Learn how to precisely control typography, refine layouts, create roll-overs, use pseudo-classes and rules. Learn the logic that makes CSS work. The Master Series concludes with a hands-on web page project where you apply your newly learned skills.
The classes in this series can be scheduled in a variety of ways to fit your needs:
• Take all segments at once
• Take segments in different weeks or months
• Just take the parts you need
Click on the titles in the Master Series box for a full description of each class segment.
